A boil water advisory has been issued for lakeside residents of the town of Gorham.
Customers along Route 364 and Lakeside, north of Turner Road to the Canandaigua town line are urged to bring tap water to a rolling boil, boil for one minute and cool before using or use bottled water.
Two water main breaks caused the water system to lose pressure, which increases the chance that untreated water and harmful microbes can enter the water.
The advisory is expected to last for the next three or four days.
