One person was taken to the hospital after a Friday afternoon car crash in Ontario County.

Sheriff’s deputies report responding to the intersection of County Road 28 and Shortsville Road around 1:35p. An investigation revealed that 77-year-old Kathleen Batz of Pittsford failed to yield while driving west on Shortsville Road, striking a vehicle being driven by 22-year-old Jakob Omay of Palmyra, who was already in the traffic circle.

Batz was taken to FF Thomspon Hospital for the complaint of head pain.

She was later issued a citation for failing to yield.
