On this Veterans Day, the Friends of the New York State Veterans Cemetery-Finger Lakes, have unveiled a new website, a new video and announced plans for a major fundraising campaign for capital construction projects at the cemetery in Romulus.

They want to upgrade the entrance way from Route 96A and build a memorial obelisk.

The cemetery is on hallowed ground on the east shore of Seneca Lake. The site is the former Sampson Naval and Air Force Bases where 750,000 sailors and airmen trained.  The 160 acres means there is room for 100,000 veterans to be laid to rest there.
