It’s being called a “bias- related incident.”
Geneva police say a noose was found hanging from a tree along the walking trail just south of Long Pier Friday at Lakefront Park. Officers collected the noose, along with several pieces of evidence.
Police are asking the public to stay vigilant and report anything unusual or out-of-the- ordinary that could be perceived as hateful in nature. Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact police.
