No injuries were reported after a car went off the thruway Monday and into the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge.
According to the Clyde Fire Department, the incident occurred just after 03:30 in the Town of Tyre. Crews found the car went through the fence and took down multiple trees.
The driver was able to remove himself from the vehicle unharmed.
Due to the vehicle’s location, the rescue company helped to cut down trees to get the car free for a tow truck to remove it.
