Newark Man Found Guilty of 2021 Murder

A Newark man will be sentenced in February after being guilty of murder.

A Wayne County jury found Michael Robinson responsible for the June 2021 death of Torey Mathis at Houses Motel just outside of the village of Newark. Authorities said Mathis died during an apparent robbery.

The 48-year-old Robinson was arrested for the murder in March of this year.
