Rochester Regional Health has added a new hand surgeon to its Finger Lakes team with the hiring of Emily Morgan, MD.
Morgan is based at the organization’s Geneva Medical Campus and will also see patients at orthopedic offices in Clifton Springs, Victor, and Rochester.
She is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with advanced training in hand and upper-extremity care. According to Rochester Regional Health, Morgan treats conditions including nerve compression, traumatic injuries, arthritis, sports-related injuries, tendonitis, and upper-extremity masses. Her clinical interests include reconstructive nerve and tendon procedures, treatment of joint contractures, and complex conditions such as Dupuytren’s disease.
In addition to her civilian medical training, Morgan brings nearly a decade of military medical experience to her practice. She previously served at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany and deployed to Afghanistan as part of a Forward Surgical Team. She later worked for five years at Madigan Army Medical Center in Washington state.
“Hand and upper-extremity problems can disrupt even the simplest moments of daily life,” Morgan said in a statement. “My role is to help patients move past those limitations through clear communication, expert care, and a plan that reflects what matters most to them.”
Morgan earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Madigan Army Medical Center, and completed a hand surgery fellowship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Rochester Regional Health officials said Morgan’s arrival reflects the system’s continued investment in expanding access to specialized care in the Finger Lakes.
“Bringing experienced, highly trained physicians to our region helps ensure patients can receive advanced care close to home,” the organization said.
