Man Struck By Car in Lyons

A man is being treated for non-life threatening injuries at Strong Memorial Hospital after being struck by a car in Wayne County just before three Monday morning.

Police say Joshua Barber was highly intoxicated and walking in the middle of the northbound lane of Geneva Street in Lyons when he was struck by a northbound car as it approached the crest of the bridge with the Erie Canal.  The driver of the car was not injured.

The incident remains under investigation.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Lyons Ambulance WN2 and Wayne County ALS Medic 85.
