An 85-year-old man from Lyons was seriously injured in a crash on Thursday involving a dump truck in Ontario County.
Deputies say Dale Facer was driving east on County Road 25 when he failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a southbound dump truck on Route 88 in Phelps. The impact forced both vehicles off the road.
Facer was taken by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was last reported in stable condition. The driver of the dump truck, Dale Heim of Fairport, was not injured.
