A Lyons man is awaiting arraignment today on charges that he struck a Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputy while being placed under arrest.
Police responded to a building on Franklin Street in Lyons on Thursday night for the report of a man inside threatening to stab people. As police were investigating, Micheal Ellersick allegedly became uncooperative and struck the deputy.
The 39-year-old Ellersick was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.
