Police arrested a Lyons man Saturday following an investigation into an incident where he allegedly attempted to stab someone with a knife back on January 7th.
Police say after Steven Wilcox forced his way into a neighboring apartment in the town of Lyons, he allegedly punched the victim and tackled him into a coffee table before attempting to stab him. Wilcox was charged with assault, burglary, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing. He was brought to Wayne County Jail to await arraignment.
The victim was reportedly injured during the incident but the extent of injuries was not disclosed.
