Workers discovered human skeletal remains in the village of Newark on Friday afternoon.
Newark Police and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office processed the scene at 434 East Union Street. The remains were turned over to the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office for possible identification.
The investigation is ongoing.
