What issues are Finger Lakes communities facing?
State Senator Pam Helming has been holding round table discussions with leaders in each county within her district, and she says they share the same concerns.
“What I’m hearing about is the impact of the unfunded mandates on our villages and our small cities,” Helming said on FLX Morning, “and the complications that arise or the challenges that arise out of constantly changing regulations, and, of course, the third thing I hear a lot about is funding. What funding opportunities are available for our smaller villages and our small cities?”
So far, Helming has met with mayors from Ontario and Wayne Counties. Her next stop will be in Livingston County.
