Dog park or skate park?  Maybe both.

During a budget session this month, the Geneva City Council discussed the future of the City’s dog park located next to the Geneva Recreation Complex on Exchange Street.  Just $500 was included in the budget for upkeep at the park.

The city is planning a study of recreational needs in conjunction with the recreation and planning departments, and City Manager Amie Hendrix explained that it is possible the dog park could be relocated.

The current dog park site could be turned into a skate park.

Also councilors learned the Recreation Department is working to build two Pickle Ball courts at Nieder Park off Genesee Street.
