State Police are investigating whether or not a Geneva man suffered a medical event prior to striking a tree on East Main Street in the village of Clifton Springs.
When emergency crews arrived on scene shortly after 10 Wednesday morning they found 89-year-old Fred Ventura unresponsive in his car.
Ventura was taken to Clifton Springs Hospital and was pronounced dead.
