A Geneva man has been convicted of rape following an incident that occurred last December. 33-year-old Diego Angeles-Castro was found guilty of first-degree rape by the Ontario County jury on Monday.

Angeles-Castro was accused of raping an unconscious, 19-year-old woman in December 2024 and was arrested by the Geneva Police Department following an investigation.

He now faces a sentence of up to 25 years in prison and 20 years of post-release supervision. After the sentence, Angeles-Castro will be examined by the Board of Examiners of Sex Offenders.
