Geneva General Hospital’s Dialysis Unit will host a free pre-dialysis education class later this month for patients with kidney disease and their families.
The class is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 26, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the hospital’s Dialysis Unit, located at 196 North St. in Geneva.
Hospital officials say the session is designed to help patients better understand kidney disease, available treatment options, dietary needs and how to adjust to life with the condition. The class will be led by professionals who work in nephrology and dialysis. Patients are encouraged to bring a support person.
The goal is to help patients and families become more familiar and comfortable with kidney disease and potential renal replacement therapy options.
