A fire broke out Thursday morning at the Cornell Food Research Lab in Geneva.
After a short investigation, firefighters found a fire inside the walls of one of the research coolers. Access to the fire was extremely difficult due to the construction of the cooler. According to Hydrant Hose Co. 1, a collective effort of over 45 Geneva Firefighters from all three Geneva departments had the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes and kept damages to a minimum.
There has been no word yet on a cause.
