Four Arrested During Cayuga Nation Property Eviction

On Wednesday, the Seneca Falls Police Department responded to a residence on Cosad Road following a report of an eviction involving the Cayuga Nation Police. While officers were on the scene to ensure a peaceful resolution, a physical dispute broke out between members of the Cayuga Nation and the Cayuga Nation Police, resulting in four arrests.

Buck Redeye, 25, was arrested and charged with two felony counts of Assault in the Second Degree after allegedly striking two members of the Cayuga Nation Police. He was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

Clarence Jimerson, 39, was charged with felony Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree for allegedly causing damage to a Cayuga Nation Police vehicle. He was also transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for arraignment.

Frederick Ferris, 54, was charged with Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, both misdemeanors, as well as a violation for Disorderly Conduct.

Frederick Ferris Jr., 31, was charged with misdemeanor Obstruction of Governmental Administration and a violation for Disorderly Conduct. Both were released on appearance tickets.

The Seneca Falls Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Department, New York State Police, New York State Park Police, the Waterloo Police Department, and North Seneca Ambulance. Police noted that the investigation is active and further charges may follow.
