A Lewis County woman who once worked as a corrections officer at the Five Points Correctional Facility in Romulus will not spend any time behind bars after admitting to submitting fake medical notes to get sick leave.

Stephanie Saber was found to have submitted 13 false medical notes between December 2021 and July 2022.

After pleading guilty to offering a false instrument for filing, the 29-year-old was sentenced to five years probation by Judge Barry Porsch.
