The Geneva food truck debate has stalled out.

Last week, the Geneva City Council tabled discussion of a food truck ordinance for downtown because of almost 30 people signed up for public comment on the support of the Geneva LGBTQ community.

One person did address the council on the tasty trucks.  The Geneva Business Improvement District urged the council to vote “no” on a downtown food truck ordinance. BID Director Catherine Price.

Price reminded the council that food trucks already can operate in Geneva through special events approved by City Hall. That helps to protect downtown restaurants.

The council will start up the discussion again at its July meeting.
