It was 25 years ago when Waterloo held the first Celebrate/Commemorate Memorial Day Weekend. The idea was to hold the events at the turn of the century in the Birthplace of Memorial Day.
Duprey Video Productions in Waterloo recorded the events, and tonight is the premiere of an hour-long video from May 2000. David Duprey says you’ll see all the events from the first Celebrate/Commemorate and the people who were there.
The premiere of the video is tonight at 7 on YouTube. Then the video will be available on demand.
