A mechanical issue is believed to have been the cause of a Friday morning vehicle fire in East Bloomfield.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the fire was called in just after 9:30a on State Route 64 N. Upon arrival, deputies and members of the East Bloomfield Volunteer Fire Department found a 2015 Jeep Patriot with a large amount of fire coming from the engine compartment. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
No injuries or additional damages were reported.
