On Thursday, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office arrested an East Bloomfield woman following a report of a physical altercation involving a child at a residence on State Route 444.

29-year-old Heather Carlson was taken into custody for Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Investigators allege that Carlson was observed on camera slamming a child victim down onto their back and screaming in the child’s face. The incident reportedly occurred after Carlson became upset regarding a diaper.

Authorities stated that Carlson’s actions caused the child to become fearful and were likely to be harmful to the child’s mental, moral, or physical welfare. The child was reported to be uninjured following the encounter.

Carlson was transported to the Ontario County Jail to await centralized arraignment. She is scheduled to answer the charge in East Bloomfield Town Court at a later date.
