Two local men are listed in stable condition at Strong Memorial Hospital after being involved in a collision on Routes 5 and 20 in front of the Hilltop Restaurant in Hopewell during the noon hour on Monday.

80-year-old Howard Vansickle, of Stanley, was reportedly westbound in his 2014 GMC Sierra pickup when he turned in front of an eastbound 1994 Toyota pickup driven by 53-year-old Sean Musto of Penn Yan.

Vansickle was airlifted to Rochester by Mercy Flight and Musto was transported by Canandaigua Ambulance.

As of 3 p.m. Monday, the roadway was reduced to one lane as the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team remained on-site.

The Hopewell and Canandaigua Fire Departments, Canandaigua Ambulance, and Mercy Flight all assisted the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department at the scene.
