The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office is currently working on a missing person’s investigation on Cayuga Lake near the 7000 block of County Road 153 in the Town of Ovid.
It was reported in the early morning that there was yelling heard from the lake. One person was rescued by a few citizens that heard the call for help. This person did not sustain any injuries.
Multiple Law Enforcement agencies and Fire Departments are actively searching the area for a second individual. Please stay clear of Police and Fire boats that are on the water.
