Cyclist Struck by Car in East Bloomfield

There were only minor injuries reported after a car vs bicycle accident in East Bloomfield on Friday.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened just before 6:00a when Kenneth Morris was riding his bicycle in the town. While merging from Gauss Road onto Routes 5&20, he was sideswiped by a dark blue sedan. The car made contact the the 34-year-old’s back tire, causing him to go over the guard rail.

Morris suffered only a minor wound to his left leg and was taken to FF Thompson Hospital for treatment.

The sedan fled before deputies arrived.
