The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office recently took receipt of a 15’ Brig Rigid Inflatable Vessel and its trailer from Stephen Smeulders and Posy Seifert who donated it.
According to Sheriff David Cirencione, “This rapidly deployable vessel will be a welcome addition to our Marine Fleet and will likely be seen on Canandaigua and Honeoye Lakes this summer.”
In addition to its use for water rescue incidents, this vessel will be key for accessing small coves on the water and as a method of deployment for our Underwater Search and Recovery Team.
Cirencione says the addition will greatly enhance the safety of our lakes.
