By the slimmest of margins, Geneva City Council has voted to remove a provision in the new city’s zoning code allowing egg-laying hens on city property. The City Council’s vote was 5-4. On Finger Lakes News Radio’s “FLX Morning” Mayor Steve Valentino told Ted Baker his vote to remove the provision was what his constituents wanted.

The zoning code draft goes to the county’s Planning Board for approval before being returned to the City Council for a vote next month.  To listen to Mayor Valentino’s entire interview, click here.
