A Dundee man was killed on Monday afternoon when a motorhome he was working on fell off a jack, trapping him underneath.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports Jared Brown was attempting to change a tire on the side of State Route 21 in the town of Canandaigua at around 5 o’clock when the motorhome fell off the jack, trapping him underneath. The Cheshire Fire Department responded and was able to quickly extract Brown, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident investigation is still ongoing and OSHA also responded to the scene.

A portion of State Route 21 was closed to traffic for about four hours during the investigation.
