Get ready for more Geneva road construction, and more bike lanes.
The state Department of Transportation plans to repave Routes 5&20 from near Lake Street to the Seneca County Line.
Besides the repaving of the highway, there will be a change the DOT calls a “road diet.” The plan is to construct one lane heading east and keeping the two lanes heading west. That makes room for a bike lane.
Bids for the project will be accepted next month. Construction is expected to start in late spring or early summer. It will be finished next December.
