Two Dead After Car Crash in Waterloo

Two people are dead after a one car crash Thursday morning in Waterloo.

According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, 27-year old Antonio Herbert of Waterloo, and his passenger, 18-year old Egypt Harris, formerly of Romulus, were both pronounced dead at the scene after hitting a tree at a high rate of speed while heading northbound on Burgess Road just before 1:00a.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle and no other cars were involved.

Prior to the accident, a Waterloo Police Officer attempted to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation but the car fled with its headlights off.

The vehicle was demolished and towed from the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
