19 Ontario County residents took part in the 13th annual Sheriff’s Citizen’s Academy by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Over the eight-week period, the participants learned about the history and daily operations of the Sheriff’s Office, including Road Patrol, 9-1-1 Center, Court Security, and the jail. They also took part in ride-alongs with road patrol deputies, a mock active shooter incident, and had a lesson on processing a crime scene for fingerprints.
The class was facilitated by Deputy William Martin & OCSO Photographer Krista Schlenker.
