The 14th Annual Ontario County Sheriff’s Office Citizens’ Academy recently concluded following eight weeks of instruction.

This course, offered every September-October, gives participants perspective into the history of the Sheriff’s Office and knowledge of the many operational components including law enforcement, corrections emergency communications (E 911), and SWAT. Practical demonstrations are offered in firearms training, crime scene processing, and K9.

This year’s session was attended by 17 participants (not all pictured).

“A special thank you to our participants for their interest in the public safety of Ontario County and our Sheriff’s Office,” said Sheriff David Cirencione. “This program is facilitated by Deputy William Martin and Deputy Krista Schlenke.”
