What will Weedsport Central School District’s new mascot be?
The district is asking for your input on selecting one of eight finalists to replace the Weedsport Warriors after an April Board of Regents decision banned Native American themed names and imagery at schools. Choices are the Centurions, Gators, Green Storm, Hawks, Shamrocks (Rocks), Snapping Turtles, Waves, and Woodchucks.
More information on selection criteria and how to provide your opinion can be found on the district’s website. Input will be accepted until July 7th.
