It’s tax season and one group is hoping to make the filing process easier for certain individuals and families in Cayuga County.

United Way’s CA$H for Cayuga County program returns to Cayuga Community College’s Auburn campus on Monday. Speaking on FLX Morning, United Way Executive Director Kathryn Dennis explained the program saying that IRS-certified volunteers will do and file participants’ taxes.

The program is designed to help low to moderate-income households, the elderly, those with disabilities, and non-English speakers.

Julisa Stone, also with United Way, added that those interested in participating in the CA$H for Cayuga County program are asked to call 315-294-8797 and leave a voicemail with their contact information. One of the volunteers will then reach out to schedule a meeting to have the taxes filed.

CA$H for Cayuga County has been helping those in the county since 2012.
