A plan to produce and package marijuana in Auburn has gone up in smoke.

The Citizen reports a Colorado company that was looking to bring 100 jobs to Auburn has decided not to build a cannabis production facility. The company Terrapin blames “painful delays” in the launch of New York’s pot industry as the reason for rejecting plans for an Auburn facility.

Last October, the company announced plans to build the $20-to-$30-million-dollar facility in the city’s Technology Park.
