The Owasco Fire Department responded on Sunday to an automatic fire alarm on Greenlinks Turn that was quickly upgraded to a structure fire.
Upon arrival, Car 1 located an active fire on the rear exterior of the residence. The incident was immediately upgraded, and automatic mutual aid was requested from the Sennett Fire Department, Aurelius Fire Department, and Fleming Fire Department.
Fire crews worked swiftly to contain and extinguish the blaze, bringing the situation under control within 15 minutes.
Also assisting at the scene were the New York State Police and Cayuga County Fire Investigators.
