It was the rainiest month of May in Cayuga County in the last 25 years. That has the Owasco Lake Watershed Management Council concerned about runoff. Executive Director Dr. Adam Effler says one the biggest sources of storm runoff is construction sites.
Effler says a bill that would create a statewide Harmful Algal Bloom map is still being discussed in the legislature. Effler appeared on FLX Morning with Paul Szmal.
