A former Moravia Town and Village Justice has admitted to stealing thousands of dollars in court funds.

June Shepardson pleaded guilty in Cayuga County Court Thursday to grand larceny. The 62-year-old resigned after a state investigation into more than $6,000 in missing funds. She is set to be sentenced in March.

Shepardson has paid restitution and has agreed to complete treatment for gambling addiction and not run for public office again.
