The City of Auburn has taken control of nearly $400,000 in Downtown Revitalization Initiative funding from the Cayuga Economic Development Agency (CEDA).

City Council voted Thursday to transfer the $390,000 small project fund from the now defunct CEDA as well as hire the MRB Group as a consultant for the fund. The fund provides assistance to downtown businesses and buildings for renovation, machinery and equipment acquisition, and COVID response activities.

CEDA closed on July 31.
