Equal Rights Heritage Center (Ed Vivenzio, Finger Lakes News Radio)

An upcoming information session in Auburn will help certain area businesses benefit from the state’s Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise program.

A collaboration between Cornell Cooperative Extension, Taste New York, and the Department of Ag and Markets, the Equal Rights Heritage Center will host a Minority and Women-Owned Business information session on Friday, March 8. The event will cover how to become certified with the state as a minority or women-owned business and the benefits of receiving that certification.

The session will last from 1:00-3:30p. While free to attend, registration is required by March 7. Registration can be done by using this link or emailing Heather Ward at [email protected].

Tying in with Auburn’s Brave Brews Festival, the next day will feature a minority and women-owned popup vendor showcase from 12:00-4:00p at the ERHC.
