The club is celebrating its centenary this year.

Sue Dwyer with the group told Finger Lakes News Radio, whether conservative or liberal, these organizations are still important today for women interested in politics. She also adds that they’re about more than just promoting female candidates or encouraging women to vote, but also help to educate on where a party’s principles and allow for discussion on issues.

In honor of 100 years as a club, they will hold a celebration on May 20th at the Springside Inn featuring cocktails, living history, and vintage political items for sale.

The event is open to the public but reservations must be made by Friday.
