An Aurora man accused of sexually assaulting a minor has been found dead.
The Citizen reports David Hewitt’s body was found Wednesday by New York State Police. The 61-year-old former Wells College safety officer was arrested in March for allegedly having sexual contact with a 16-year-old.
The Citizen adds he was scheduled to appear in court last Thursday for a conference.
An official cause of death is expected to be determined in the coming weeks.
