Cayuga County will be working with the Department of Motor Vehicles for their 16th annual organ donor month.
The month long campaign seeks to increase the number of people registered as organ donors in the county. 61% of eligible Cayuga County residents are registered as organ donors, higher than the statewide average of 46%.
The DMV will hold an event at 10:00a on April 3rd at their Genesee Street Office in Auburn where you can learn more about organ donation and meet with recipients of donated organs to answer any questions potential donors may have.
Anyone who is 16 or older can register as an organ donor in New York State.
