The City of Auburn will hold its first-ever Crow Cawcus Friday and Saturday at locations throughout the city.
Events include live music and performances, crow-themed menu items at area bars and restaurants, art markets, crafts and games, educational programming, and more to celebrate the thousands of crows that call Auburn home during the winter months.
Speaking on FLX Morning with Paul Szmal, Jesse Kline with the Auburn Downtown Partnership said the event has attracted an incredible amount of support from the community, making organizing the event easy for her.
“I’ve never had an event come together so easily, honestly, because people are so excited about the idea… There’s no pulling teeth. Everyone is on board and has some fun, creative ideas on how they can tie into the theme.”
Kline added that the festivities, envisioned to celebrate the thousands of crows that call Auburn home during the winter months, will officially kick off Friday with a performance by Jamie Notarthomas at Moondog’s Lounge from 7:00-10:00p where he’ll perform his song “Cayuga County Crow Convention.” A full list of participating locations and an event map can be found below:
