According to the Auburn Police Department, scammers have been sending fraudulent invoices asking for payments via wire transfer. The city says it does not require any payments to be made by wire transfer for review of applications.

City officials advise anyone with questions about an invoice’s legitimacy to call the Office of Planning at 315-255-4118, the Office of Code Enforcement at 315-255-4111, or visit Memorial City Hall in person to verify.
