Auburn has a new comptroller.
Mary Beth Leeson started Monday in the full-time role. Her tasks will include grant writing, auditing, and finances.
Speaking on FLX Morning, City Clerk Chuck Mason said Leeson will be a valuable asset to the city. “This is great news for our city and our organization, Mason said. “We were without a comptroller for the last 90 days.”
Prior to taking on the full-time role, Leeson was working for the city in a part-time capacity to familiarize herself with the role.
She has previously worked for Cayuga Community College.
