Auburn Mayor Mike Quill Delivers Final State of the City Address

Auburn Mayor Michael Quill delivers his final State of the City Address

At Thursday’s State of the City and State of the County presentations, officials and business leaders from the City of Auburn and Cayuga County got a recap of the past year’s events as well as what to expect for the upcoming year.

When the Chamber of Commerce convenes next year’s meeting, one common sight will be missing – Mayor Mike Quill.

Before turning the microphone over to County Operations Officer Shereen Androsko, Cayuga County Chairman David Gould ended his presentation by saying “I hope I don’t get emotional ’cause Mike and I have been friends forever. So Mike, we’re going to miss you. You’ve done a great job. You’re a great friend, you’re a veteran friend of mine, and you’re a colleague, and we will miss you.”

The room then was filled with clapping from the audience.

Mayor Quill announced last November he will not seek reelection in 2023.
