Auburn Launches Conservation Corps Summer Camp

The City of Auburn is debuting a new children’s camp this summer with the goal of teaching kids about the environment.

Beginning with a program at BOCES, the Conservation Corps Summer Camp will give 10 campers the chance to discover agriculture, watershed management, forestry, and more.

Activities for campers include:

  • Field Work Activities
  • Tree Planting and Care
  • Measure and Assess Tree Canopy
  • Identify and Manage Invasive Plants
  • Trail Construction and Maintenance
  • Stream Monitoring and Restoration

The camp is open to 11-13 year olds within the nine component Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES school districts. The program will run July 17-20 from 9:30a-2:30p.

For its inaugural year, only 10 campers will be accepted.
